DART – Defence Attack & Resolution Tactics
DART Karate is a legally underpinned modern training system developed for self defence. We teach people how to avoid, deter, negate and escape verbal aggression, abuse and physical violence.
DART gives you expert personal safety advice with world-class classes and Britain’s best self defence scenario simulation training. Enthusiastic and experienced Karate instructors teach our lessons, including international self protection coach and author John Titchen.
Our regular classes in High Wycombe are for adults and teenagers and focus on drilling against realistic attacks. Because of this DART Karate includes a broad range of stand up and ground skills. We also teach pressure tested edged weapon defences. In class we don’t march up and down in lines because our training is different to a lot of other Karate systems.
We know that true self protection is avoiding using force in self defence in the first place, so personal safety advice for daily life runs throughout our training.
Training Benefits from DART:
- Gain highly effective physical skills and personal safety skills!
- Improve your physical fitness, flexibility and joint mobility!
- Improve your coordination, concentration and confidence!
- Have fun learning adaptable skills through play in dynamic and alive training!
- Use our classes for credit in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme!
All our instructors undertake regular Enhanced DBS Checks: Safe Training with Safe people.
There is no false machismo and we make no exaggerated claims. But we will give you world class training designed and tested to keep you safe and healthy.
We wear Black Brazilian Ju Jitsu suits in most classes with jackets because they resemble coats and school blazers.
Our DART classes are open to adults and teenagers (with a mature attitude to training) and all genders are welcome. DART Karate physical training can be used as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
