DART – Defence Attack & Resolution Tactics
DART is a legally underpinned modern training system developed for self defence. Our focus is teaching people how to avoid, deter, negate and escape verbal aggression and physical violence.
DART will give you expert personal safety advice with world class classes and Britain’s best self defence scenario simulation training. Our lessons are taught by enthusiastic and experienced instructors, including international self protection coach and author John Titchen.
We recognise that true self protection is avoiding using force in self defence in the first place and personal safety advice for daily life runs throughout our training.
Our regular training in High Wycombe for adults and teenagers focuses on drilling against habitual acts of violence (HAOV). DART Karate classes include a broad range of stand up and ground skills. We also teach pressure tested edged weapon defences for our intermediate and advanced students.
We believe in learning through play in dynamic and alive training. Expand your comfort zone!
We wear Brazilian Ju Jitsu suits in most classes which can double for coats and school blazers. Progression through our syllabus is marked by coloured belts.
There is no false machismo and we make no exaggerated claims. What we will give you is high quality training designed and tested to keep you safe and healthy.
DART classes are open to adults and teenagers (with a mature attitude to training) and all genders are welcome. Our aim is to help you improve, regardless of your fitness or skill level. DART physical training can be used as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
